Introducing Design with Heart – a smart, progressive, inclusive new greeting card and gift-wrap design studio dedicated to love. In fact, we believe love is a universal truth we all have in common. All of us. No matter who we are, who we love or what the occasion.

At our very heart, we believe a simple but powerful premise: love is love. We also believe a few other things that infuse our product line: marriage equality will be the law of the land; the American family comes in all shapes, sizes and colors: and inclusion is for everyone.

At House of Krauss, we believe in the power of design to drive positive social change. We find never-ending inspiration in the words of Mahatma Gandhi: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

It is humbling to work on an assignment that you know will have a huge social impact, especially in the lives of children. This is our 7th year designing and producing materials for Cuisine For A Cause.

The mission of Casa de Misericordia (House of Mercy) is to provide a safe, nurturing, God-centered home for the abused, neglected and homeless children in the northern Mexico city of Piedras Negras.  Since opening in 2005, Casa de Misericordia has seen over 250 children pass through its doors. The children and caregivers of the orphanage rely on our continued support, as all of their funding comes from contributions from churches and individuals.

An enormous THANK YOU to everyone that helped make the 6th annual Cuisine for a Cause event the most successful one yet.  Because of your love and support, we raised over $43,500 in three hours to help the children of Casa de Misericordia.

The 2015 Cuisine For A Cause will be held at The Boathouse at Confluence Park (679 W. Spring Street in Columbus) on April 24 beginning at 6:30 pm.  Please join us for this wonderful event, where you will enjoy great food and drinks, both live and silent auctions and the opportunity to have fun with friends and family – all for an amazing cause.

Igloo Letterpress is moving! Their new space is around the corner from their current digs – and House of Krauss! The new spot – part of the Old Worthington Hardware Building on High Street – doubles the shop’s size and lets Igloo bring their retail gift shop and production studio together under one roof.

Igloo’s founder and owner, Allison Chapman, learned letterpress printing from her Grandad when she was a child. She founded Igloo in 1996, and moved it with her family to Columbus in 2008. Since then, it has thrived as a cornerstone in the Columbus creative scene and as a pillar in the Worthington community. House of Krauss is pleased to have partnered with Igloo on many projects over the past number of years. And if you know me, you know I LOVE honey bees and I LOVE letterpress.

Our limited edition, letterpress “Bee Keeper” art print is available for purchase as part of Igloo’s Kickstarter Campaign – www.iglooletterpress.com. We are thrilled to contribute to helping Igloo achieve their goals.
